The P G Department of English started its journey in the academic session 2014 2016 with Post-Graduate Course in semester system which was later converted into CBCS Mode of Course Curriculum.

The Department offers MA and Ph.D. Programs,in addition to focusing on Core, discipline Specific, Ability Enhancement, Skill Enhancement and Generic Courses.

The objective of the Department is not only to make students think differently, but also to groom them in the way that enables them to connect the classroom with outer world, the knowledge of literature with real life.

The Department aims at promoting quality education and research. We provide intensive mentoring to our students both in and beyond the classroom in a wide variety of forums. Ongoing lectures, film screenings, symposia, conferences and seminar on interdisciplinary themes make up our calendar.
