A. Bachelor in Library & Information Science (BLIS)
1. Objective: To train and demonstrate students with various elements in knowledge management. The course will demonstrate application of new technologies IT services in management of modern libraries. It will also familiarise the students with recent development of best practices in Library Management.
2. Eligibility: A candidate seeking admission must be a graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce (with minimum 45% marks) or equivalent (Alim) from recognised Madrasa/Board.
3. Duration: One year
4. Course Structure: There shall be total eight papers of 100 Marks each out of which five shall be theory paper (written examination) which shall consist of two parts. (a) Written Examination carrying 80Marks and (b) Evaluation of Internal Assignment carrying 20 Marks. Two practical papers and one Project Work having viva-voce Examination carrying 100 Marks each. The University Reserves the right to annucsed or change the examination patern or syllabus.

5. Fee Structure: Rs 5500, Tuition Fee 150/- Registration 50/-Misc Charges,1000/- Examination Fee for each semester of examination. Development Fee Rs1500/- Rs. 10 for Tarang & Eklavya.
• The course will be conducted on self-finance basis.
• A candidate is required to pay the entire fee in one instalment at the time of admission.
• SC/ST candidates will be allowed 20% concession in tuition fee.
• Preference in admission will be given to those passing out from Madrasa system of Education
6. Relevant Information:-
• Reservation:- The University shall follows the Reservation norms as per Bihar State Govt Rules
• Medium of Instruction: Medium of Instruction is English, Hindi or urdu
• Seat Limit: Seat Limit is Sixty (60) seats in each batch
• Training: Training facility to be provided as per the requirement of the course.
• Dress Code & Discipline : The students must observe dress code and must follow rules as prescribed by the University
7. All Examinations of BLIS will be conducted at the University headquarters at Patna
